Game 10: Away v. Aviators, Thursday November 18th

Puck drop in Brooklyn at 7:05 tonight. This is the first in the latest home and home set between Danbury and the Aviators that wraps up Saturday night at home.

  • The Aviators have played Danbury three times so far this season, all three times at Danbury.
  • Danbury has not lost a game to the Aviators yet.
  • The scores of those 3 games were 4-3, 4-0, and 3-2
  • Danbury finally picked up its first road win last night and is now 1 for 5 on the road. (4 for 4 at home)
  • The Aviators, on the other hand, have not played much at home.  They're 2 for 7 on the road and 2 for 2 at home.
  • As always, the stories of New York/Danbury games revolve around the goaltending battle, the Fulton/Bain fights (more in a moment), and of course, Felten's latest antics.
  • This is the last game of Fulton's suspension, so look for Guy to step up this evening in the enforcer department.
  • New York is still first in the league with an 89% penalty kill
  • Interestingly enough, New York waived Bain this week and signed Center Anthony Longo. They should still do okay in the fight department, as Pelle is also a capable fighter. Looks like the Fulton/Bain legacy will be on hold for the time being.
  • Danbury is at 9 games played (5-3-1), 11 points and 2nd place. New York is at 9 games played (4-5-0), 8 points and 4th place.
  • Live coverage, as always, starts at 7pm.
Stay tuned tomorrow morning for the announcement of the Whalers Blog ticket giveaway!
